Kistler O’Brien Becomes Fire Protection Provider of Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On Wednesday, Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection and Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre announced a new partnership that sees two historic Lehigh Valley businesses working together. This new partnership makes Kistler O’Brien the Official Fire Protection Provider for Shankweiler’s, helping protect people and property at the oldest operating drive-in theater.
“Kistler O’Brien is proud to be working with another long-standing pillar of the Lehigh Valley community,” Tyler Trumbauer, KOB’s marketing and communications manager, said regarding the partnership. “Both organizations have a rich history, and we look forward to working with them for years to come.”
These two organizations started in the early 1930’s and are still thriving to this day. Shankweiler’s, located in Orefield, Pennsylvania, is set to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2024. Kistler O’Brien reached its 90th-anniversary milestone in 2023.
“As we revitalize Shankweiler’s we are looking to work with local businesses in the area and partnering with Kistler O’Brien is another step in that process,” Lauren McChesney, co-owner of Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre, said. “We welcome them as a new friend of the theater as we enter this milestone year in the facility’s history.”
