Kistler O’Brien Becomes Official Fire Protection Provider of Santander Arena

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection announced on Wednesday a partnership with Santander Arena, the Santander Performing Arts Center, and the Reading Royals to become the Official Fire Protection Provider for the Berks County venues and ECHL hockey team.

This partnership sees Kistler O’Brien taking over as the fire safety partner, protecting the thousands of people who attend events at both venues and the property in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania.

“The Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center are two of the biggest venues in the south-central region of Pennsylvania. Being a part of their life safety plan and partnering with the Reading Royals is a great opportunity for Kistler O’Brien,” Tyler Trumbauer, KOB’s marketing and communications manager, said. “With an expanding office location in Reading, Team KOB is ready to work on their fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and the rest of the components in their fire protection plan.”

The partnership begins immediately as Kistler O’Brien works to keep the facilities code-compliant for the hundreds of events it has on the calendar.

Santander Arena and its sister venue, the Santander Performing Arts Center, are entertainment venues in the heart of Reading, Pennsylvania. The arena is a 7,160-seat multi-purpose facility that is the home of the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and opened in the fall of 2001.
