Manager, Alarm & Suppression – Delaware Valley

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a busy service department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives business through policies, procedures while aiding in evolution of company policy
  • Confers with Coordinators to verify that routes are scheduled and completed efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with company policy and procedure is followed and enforced.
  • Works with General Manager to implement priorities and action plans to meet division goals, revenue targets and financial profitability.
  • Assist with day-to-day leadership and management of the department to provide the Best Customer Experience for both internal and external customers.
  • Oversee technician training, Certification and Ladders programs.
  • Provide ongoing Performance Management responsibilities to direct reports.
  • Provides technical advice, support and coaching to staff.
  • Conducts staff meetings, safety inspections and monthly feedback meetings with technicians.
  • Monitor job profitability, productivity, and accuracy by reviewing sales orders, inspection reports, deletes and dispatch board.
  • Review completed technician schedules and communicate with all stakeholders on equipment, safety training and other important information needed for job.
  • Conducts staff reviews and manages attendance records.
  • Investigate, document, and control all damage reimbursement expenses.
  • Accountable for technician vehicle fleet.
  • Works with Fleet Manager to oversee GPS Program. Acts as a secondary point of contact for GPS Vendor.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts within the department.
  • Monitors truck fleet and tool usage and requirements.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use OHM Meter, troubleshoot and repair electronic devices.
  • Understanding of amps and electronic circuits.
  • Comfortable with heights and working on ladders or lifts.
  • Ability to read and comprehend appropriate NFPA standards.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in Business Management Preferred.  Management experience preferred.
